The Mistletoe Mystery
Nita Prose
I would classify this as a cozy Mystery, although there isn’t much of a mystery here, except to the main character. Still, I enjoyed the book and I continue to enjoy the “Maid Mystery” series. In this Christmas tale Molly, the maid and central character begins to think that her boyfriend and love of her life Juan Manuel may be cheating on her. But her inability to see situations the way others do makes her the only one surprised when he surprises her with the very best gift.

The Doorman
Chris Pavone
I had heard great things about this book and I had enjoyed one of his other books. With this one, I'm really torn. There are parts of this book that I seriously hated and I also found it fairly predictable. It's a New York story, so I liked seeing if I knew the locations he wrote about.

Great Big Beautiful Life: Reese's Book Club
Emily Henry
Liked this book! The premise was fresh, two writers fighting for the same job. (There are some detailed intimate scenes)

The Honeymoon Crashers
Christina Lauren
The book is the true embodiment of the romantic comedy, but when you first begin it, that is not what you will see. It is well done and is set in Maui, so there is nothing not to love. A nice summer fun read.

The Story Of Arthur Truluv
Elizabeth Berg
This is the second time I read this book and I enjoyed it just as much the second time, picking up parts of the story more intensely this time. This is a perfect story of 2 generations who are in need of each other and who come together in the best way possible. While each of the 3 central living characters (and I have to include living as one character who feature prominently is deceased) has their challenges, they come together to help one another perfectly, even if for some the motivation may be selfish. This is a story that will touch your heart.

Widow's Wall
Robert B. Parker
For those of us who read a lot of mysteries, after a while, you can often see the ending coming. Not in this one! The central character’s alibi appears to be that she is just too dumb to organize and commit this crime. And it turns out what she did do really ends up confusing the police. A good whodunit.

Riding The Bullet
Stephen King
Full disclosure: I am a Stephen King fan. But as I read this I was a little disappointed in the first half as I found it predictable. But I should have had faith in King, because the second half delivered what I was waiting for. A young man hitches a ride from his college to the hospital where his mother has been taken. When it comes to choosing a ride, do you use your head and logic, or do you listen to your instinct? King will help you look at this a whole new way.

I really wanted to like this book more than I did. There were moments I was drawn in but my interest didn't stay throughout the book.

Cleopatra And Frankenstein
Coco Mellors
Really, really loved this book. Could not put it down and there’s no better feeling than a book you can’t stop reading. I fell in love with the characters and how they each depict the messiness of life. I enjoyed how Mellors switched POV’s, I enjoyed how I laughed and cried, I enjoyed everything about it!!
