The writing was disappointing. Also so much redundancy and repeated phrases.

As a private investigator, you never know where your next case will come from. It can come in the traditional manner of a client walking in or calling. Or you can just be going about the daily business of your life when you fall upon something. As it turns out, both of these things happen for Kinsey Milhone in this book. While investigating a missing person’s case reported by the x-wife, Kinsey also becomes entangled in an old case when she is approached by an insurance investigator. But the people Kinsey is involved with are not who they seem and the ending is a good one!

This is a timeless fantasy novel with detailed world building. This is my first experience with the series and it lives up to the hype.

What a truly perfect ghost story…that turns out to me more than that. This book is only available as an audio book intentionally and I can see why. It is read with just the perfect tone to create an atmosphere that will immerse and draw you in. And the setting in the year 1957 when times and people were simpler than now just adds to the allure. I did not want to put this book down. Grab your mental campfire and dive in!

This book tells the story of 3 sisters living in 1947 India. This is a time when violence was rampant. India was being partitioned and it was Hindu versus Muslim. The choices they make divide them but they still have an inherent bond.

I enjoyed reading this book about how life in Tehran is directly linked to your caste. It’s a story of lost love & how it affects the characters in the story
